In an era where mental health disparities disproportionately affect minority communities, Dr. Jillian Baker stays diligent on advocating for awareness.

Through her tireless efforts and groundbreaking research at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Dr. Jill is spearheading a movement to bridge the gap in mental health advocacy for Black families alongside Daddy University's Founder Joel Austin.

Dr. Jill's journey began with a recognition of the systemic barriers hindering access to mental health care among marginalized communities. Her research sheds light on the multifaceted challenges faced by Black families, from stigma to cultural insensitivity within healthcare systems. Armed with this knowledge, Dr. Jill embarked on a mission to advocate for change.

As the mental health landscape evolves, Dr. Jill remains steadfast in her commitment to championing mental health equity for Black families. Through her work at the Center for Parent and Teen Communication at CHOP, she and Joel Austin pave the way for a future where every individual, regardless of race or background, has access to the support and resources needed to thrive mentally and emotionally.
